The Hannon Group Wins Thoth Award for Best Multicultural Campaign

Washington, D.C.–Talent, creativity and innovation in Washington public relations were recognized by the National Capital Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) tonight at its annual Thoth Awards at the National Press Club. From 144 entries in 35 categories, 36 Thoth Awards and 25 Certificates of Excellence were presented to representatives of public relations agencies, corporations, government agencies and trade and professional associations.

The Hannon Group, the growing public relations and market research firm, won the top award for the multicultural campaign it executed for the United States Tennis Association, Mid-Atlantic Section. “This is our third award for the USTA/MAS campaign. We’re proud to be developing a campaign that really extends awareness for our client that tennis is for everyone.”

The Thoth Awards (pronounced "Tot") are named for the Egyptian god of information and communication. Thoth is the chapter’s signature event and celebrates innovation within the public relations industry and showcases the Washington area’s talent,” said Tracy Schario, president of the PRSA National Capital Chapter and director of media relations at The George Washington University. “We congratulate the Thoth awardees and thank all those who submitted entries for the competition. We also extend our appreciation to the Thoth judges and the Thoth committee for their efforts in helping to ensure a successful Thoth program.”
