On March 14, 2014, Clean Energy Communications (CEC) signed a multi-year prime contract with the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) to provide communications support services. CEC is a joint venture consisting of The Hannon Group and BCS Incorporated. Through this contract, CEC will provide services to enhance EERE’s capability for communicating its technology programs, initiatives, successes, and accomplishments to the American public, the media, industry sectors, Congress, and other stakeholders. Tasks will support both EERE’s corporate Communications office and also EERE technology programs’ externally-facing and public information dissemination activities.
